Swag & Supplies: Back to School Bash

As summer winds down, we’re gearing up to help our local youth head back to school with confidence—and a little swag.

Join us at the Greater Waterbury YMCA for Swag & Supplies, a free back-to-school bash designed to bring the community together in support of the students and families we serve. This event is open to the public and offers fun, food, and resources for children and teens of all ages.

What to Expect

Swag & Supplies isn’t your average supply giveaway. We’re turning it into a celebration of youth, education, and community connection. Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Live DJ and music to set the vibe

  • Water games and splash zone to cool off

  • Grilled food and light refreshments

  • Fun games, activities, and giveaways

  • Free backpacks and school supplies while quantities last

Please Note: Children or teens must be present to receive school supplies. Supplies are distributed on a first come, first served basis.

Who Can Attend?

Everyone is welcome—whether you’re a Y member or not. This event is for school-aged youth and their families in the Greater Waterbury area. No registration is required to attend, but we do encourage you to RSVP via EventBrite to help us plan for food and supplies:
