Group fitness is about more than exercise. It is a chance to connect with others, build consistency, and become part of a welcoming community. The social aspect of class can also create a sense of accountability that helps members stay motivated and keep showing up. Many members find that becoming a class regular brings familiar faces, supportive encouragement, and a little extra joy to their routine.

With a wide range of group fitness offerings, the Greater Waterbury YMCA provides opportunities for every fitness level and interest while supporting a healthy spirit, mind, and body. 

Whether you are looking for cardio-focused workouts, strength-based training, mind/body classes, or a combination, there is a class for you. We also offer classes designed specifically for Active Older Adults, though many classes are open to participants of all abilities and ages 13 and over.
