Building strong & confident swimmers

Join us for swim lessons using our brand new curriculum through Y of the USA. Our swim lessons are designed to enhance and develop swimming skills, learn a valuable life lesson, build confidence and teach about water safety. The Y’s goal is not only to develop strong swimming skills, but for participants to learn the valuable safety and rescue skills that will enable them to enjoy water activities for the rest of their lives. Swim lessons are available for adults and children as young as six months. Contact Patti for more information.

After School

Group Cycling

The Greater Waterbury Y is dedicated to serving our members with state-of-the-art equipment and programs. We’re thrilled to debut our brand new fleet of Kaiser bikes!  Not sure what Group Cycling is? It’s a stationary bike class, led by an instructor who will push you to challenge yourself and improve your cardio fitness level. We recommend combining strength and cardio workouts, like Cycling, in addition to balanced, nutritious eating to reach your healthy living goals. Contact Meghan for more information.

Youth Wellness Opportunities

Having a healthy relationship with physical activity is important at every age! In addition to swim and youth sports classes, we will be offering a Kids Fitness program on Monday nights for children ages 5-7 (5-5:45 PM) and 8-10 (6-7 PM). Kids Fitness at the Y is a fun and challenging program geared towards developing muscular strength and endurance, cardio respiratory endurance and flexibility. Through structured lessons involving games and activities, this program will help build the confidence and knowledge necessary in developing strong and healthy youth. Classes begins October 23rd, contact Courtney for more information.
