School Readiness Program

Our School Readiness Program is a NAEYC accredited preschool program that will help your child learn, grow, and thrive. Each day children ages 3-5 will be actively engaged in their classrooms, receive breakfast, lunch, and a snack, be physically active, and take advantage of the best the Y has to offer. All of our fees are based on a sliding scale and we accept Care4Kids. Contact Amy for more information or to schedule a tour.

After School

The Greater Waterbury Y is dedicated to serving our members with state-of-the-art equipment and programs. We’re thrilled debut our brand new fleet of Kaiser Spin bikes this fall! Join us for a class on the new bikes starting Saturday, September 9 and try them out for yourself.  Not sure what Spinning is? It’s a stationary bike class, led by an instructor who will push you to challenge yourself and improve your cardio fitness level. We recommend combining strength and cardio workouts, like Spinning, in addition to balanced, nutritious eating to reach your healthy living goals. Contact Meghan for more information.

Youth Wellness Opportunities

Having a healthy relationship with physical activity is important at every age! In addition to swim and youth sports classes, we will be offering a Kids Fitness program on Monday nights for children ages 5-7 (5-5:45 PM) and 8-10 (6-7 PM). Kids Fitness at the Y is a fun and challenging program geared towards developing muscular strength and endurance, cardio respiratory endurance and flexibility. Through structured lessons involving games and activities, this program will help build the confidence and knowledge necessary in developing strong and healthy youth. Classes begins October 23rd, contact Courtney for more information.
