We believe our communities are stronger when everyone feels welcome and we work together for the common good. Welcoming Week celebrates the growing movement of communities that fully embrace new Americans and their contributions to the social fabric of our country. It's a chance for neighbors—both immigrants and U.S.-born residents—to get to know one another and celebrate what unites us as a community!

Welcoming Week is an exciting time for us. That's because, at the Y, we are committed to welcoming all people.

The friendly competition starts 9/24!

Do you have a competitive side?  Brass City Meltdown is the Y's biannual 10 week strength and conditioning weight loss competition. BCM will keep you healthy, motivated and on track through the holiday season. Workout and earn points, sabotage the competition and win prizes! Join with friends or join on your own and the Y will make the teams!

Running NOW: Diabetes Prevention Program!

If you’re at risk for type 2 diabetes, you can make small, measurable changes that can reduce your risk and help you live a happier, healthier life. Change is tough. The Y can help.

The program features 25 sessions delivered over the course of one year led by a certified, trained, lifestyle coach in a group setting that offers motivation and support. YMCA facility membership included. Session one has begun, but ask to be placed on the interest list for the next session!

The YMCA's Diabetes Prevention Program helps overweight adults at risk for type 2 diabetes reduce their risk of developing the disease by taking steps that will improve their overall health and well-being. Click HERE for more details.

School Readiness Program at the Greater Waterbury Y 

A full-day preschool program for 3-5-year-olds that develops children's minds and bodies at the Y! Spots are still available for your child. Schedule a tour with Stephanie or call us for more information.    

Before and After School Care

2018-2019 School Year Registration is OPEN!

The Greater Waterbury YMCA’s Before and After School Program provides kids with time to explore by combining academics with play and offering a caring and safe environment where youth can achieve, feel a sense of belonging, build friendships and explore new interests. Go here for more information or to print the necessary forms. Contact Jesse with questions!
