Volunteer at the Waterbury YMCA

The Greater Waterbury YMCA can always use more helping hands.

At the Y, you can coach a sports team, help teach a child to read, or raise funds through our Community Support Campaign to ensure the Y is accessible to everyone in our community.

Tutorial Programs

Through creative activities and guided homework sessions, help a child develop the skills they need to succeed in school and life. You can provide one-on-one mentoring or tutor a small group of students through our  Afterschool programs.

Community Support Campaign Volunteer

Our annual support campaign is a community-wide effort to raise funds for children, teens, families, and adults who need the Y. We are always looking for dedicated fundraisers with innovative ideas to help out the cause.  Join our Community Support Campaign team today.

How to apply to be a Volunteer?

The Greater Waterbury YMCA is always looking for volunteers! To volunteer, we ask you to fill out the Volunteer Application and email the completed application to Tami Macary, Human Resources Director. You can also print the application and bring it in person. One of our Welcome Center staff will give the application to Tami.
