The Greater Waterbury YMCA is Getting Better and Better: Here’s the Inside Scoop!

We’ve got some exciting news and a few heads-up moments to share with you. Change is in the air at the Greater Waterbury YMCA, and we’re all about making your experience even more awesome!

New Equipment for the Wellness Center

Get ready to pump up the excitement because our wellness center is getting a fresh batch of equipment! We’re talking shiny, new, and ready to take your workouts to the next level. But first, a little musical chairs with our machines:

  • August 14th: Bye-bye, 15 machines! We’re waving them off to make space for the new arrivals.
  • August 15th: Say hello to 13 brand-new machines! Two more will make their grand entrance a little later (fashionably late, of course). 

 

Pool Closures for Maintenance and Cleaning

Our pools need some TLC, and we're all about that squeaky-clean life. Here’s the plan to keep our pools sparkling:

  • August 16th - 26th: The large pool, and the hot tub will be taking a well-deserved spa retreat for our annual deep cleaning. But don’t worry, the small pool is open for ADULT LAP SWIM only. Mark your calendars for the large pool’s grand reopening on August 27th!
  • August 28th - 29th: The small pool will be closed. We promise it’ll come back refreshed and ready to make waves.

 

Wellness Center Deep Cleaning

Even our wellness center needs a day of pampering! On August 30th, from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, we’re rolling up our sleeves for a deep clean. This means the spin room and indoor track will also be closed during this time. Plan to give your muscles a rest and enjoy a day off (or maybe try out a group fitness class instead-- our personal favorite, STT at 12pm with Carmen)!

Our commitment to providing a top-notch experience for our members means continuous improvements, and we have some exciting changes on the way.
