Keep our pool, deck, and surrounding areas safe through active surveillance and quick emergency response. Requires minimum age 18, current YMCA Lifeguard or ARC Deep Water Lifeguard certification, CPR Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration.

Lead group fitness classes in a safe, welcoming environment that meets members at every skill and fitness level. Requires a national group fitness certification (ACE, NETA, AFAA, or NASM) or YMCA group exercise instructor certification.

Support the Youth Diversion Team with assessments, referrals, scheduling, panel recruitment, and connections to community resources for youth and families. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice, Social Work, or related field, strong crisis-intervention and organizational skills, a clean CT driver's license with full auto insurance, and clean DCF/state police background checks. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Lead a preschool classroom, planning weekly lesson plans and creating a nurturing environment that builds a strong foundation for Kindergarten. Requires minimum age 21, and either progress toward a 4-year ECE degree, a degree plus 12–36 credits in Early Childhood Education, or a Bachelor's/Associate's in ECE, Child Development, Elementary Education, or Special Education.
Pay: $20.00–$28.00/hr, plus free YMCA membership, discounts, and tuition scholarships for qualified individuals.
Support a preschool classroom's daily routines, lesson planning, and hands-on learning activities. Requires minimum age 16, and either 12 credits in ECE, an Associate's, a current CDA, or an equivalent combination. Prior childcare experience preferred.

Lead an infant/toddler classroom, building nurturing routines around eating, playing, dressing, and napping while supporting each child's developmental milestones. Requires minimum age 21, and either progress toward a 4-year ECE degree, a degree plus 12–36 credits in Early Childhood Education, or a Bachelor's/Associate's in ECE, Child Development, Elementary Education, or Special Education.
