2025 Anthony Ireland Holiday Invitational Classic

The Greater Waterbury YMCA proudly presents the Anthony Ireland 3rd Annual Holiday Invitational Classic, a festive celebration of basketball, community, and giving. This highly anticipated holiday event will showcase some of the top boys’ and girls’ basketball programs from across Connecticut, New York, and Rhode Island — all coming together for an unforgettable weekend of competition, camaraderie, and compassion.
More than just a tournament, this Holiday Invitational Classic embraces the true spirit of the season through a toy & warm clothing drive benefiting local families and shelters. In partnership with several Greater Waterbury–area nonprofits, the event will support children and individuals in need throughout the winter months.
Each participating student-athlete is encouraged to bring a new toy or warm clothing item as part of their entry into the event. Spectators and community members are also invited to donate, helping ensure that every child in our community experiences the warmth and joy of the holidays.
All proceeds and collected items will directly benefit local nonprofits and shelters serving families across the Greater Waterbury region. Together, we’ll make a difference — on and off the court.

December 21, 2025 - Boys Division
- 12:00 PM - New Fiarfield High School vs. Weston High School
- 2:00 PM - Staples High School vs. Archbishop Molloy High School (NYC)
- 4:00 PM - Career High School vs. Bunnell High School
- 6:00 PM - Crosby High School vs. Kolbe Cathedral High School
