Welcome Week
Welcoming Week is an annual campaign that celebrates the work in communities to become welcoming places for all, including immigrants. Launched in 2012 by Welcoming America and its members, Welcoming Week provides individuals and organizations the opportunity to showcase their values through events and initiatives that foster connections and collaboration between immigrants and non-immigrants, as well as belonging for all. YMCAs across the United States observe Welcome Week it is a YUSA initiative.
When: September 8-17.
The Gathering
The Gathering is back. After a three-year break due to the COVID pandemic, The Gathering, a celebration of music, food and dance from around the world, is coming back to downtown Waterbury on September 16th, 2023. Organizers have secured music and dance acts from Greece, Puerto Rico, China, Mexico, Ecuador, Senegal, Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Peru, St. Lucia, and many more...
It's been a while. It's time to celebrate the extraordinary diversity of Waterbury once again.
What the Y is looking for? Float Ideas for the parade. Either decorating a car, banners, people to march in the parade and Y swag to give out during the parade.

Immerse yourself in a rich virtual experience by joining the YMCA of the USA’s Hispanic Latino Leadership Network for an enlightening conference. Delve into insightful discussions with a distinguished panel, while also indulging in the melodic rhythms of cultural music and much more. This event promises to be a source of knowledge, connection, and cultural celebration you won’t miss.

Zumba & Family Zumba
Latin and International music and dance themes create a dynamic, exciting, motivating workout. A mixture of body sculpting movements is combines with easy-to-follow dance steps for the ultimate dance party workouts. It is greater for any level!
When:
- Zumba... Monday 7 PM - 8PM with Tiah
- Zumba... Wednesday 6 PM - 7 PM with Winnie
- Family Zumba... Saturday 10:15 AM - 11:15 AM with Raven (open to children 4 & up)
