You Spoke, We Listened!

 

You spoke: We need a bigger parking lot in back, not enough spaces.
We listened: Yes, parking is our biggest challenge! We are moving forward with over 50 additional spaces in the new lot, which is breaking ground now. We do so many things right at the YMCA, and more parking for members is one of our top priorities right now.

You spoke: Due to health concerns, please replace fabric towels with paper towels for cleaning machines.
We listened: The YMCA offers both paper and fabric towels for cleaning machines. Our fabric towels are laundered hourly during heavy use times. Please choose the method of cleaning that is most comfortable for you.

You spoke: The family locker room water gets too hot. There should also be recycle bins available for water bottles and other garbage.
We listened: We are investigating the high water temperature in the family locker room and are working towards resolving it. We are also looking into providing recycle bins at the YMCA for members to use.

You spoke: The boys who clean on Sundays are polite and did a great job.
We listened: THANK YOU! The YMCA is a family, and we love to hear positive comments about your experiences with our staff. Our purpose is to make you feel at home!

You spoke: Ladies in the sauna are sometimes chatty and inconsiderate while others are trying to relax. Please post a sign.
We listened: Although we cannot post a sign near the sauna for this, there is a phone in the ladies locker room. If you are unable to use the sauna or steam room or are made to feel uncomfortable in any way, please dial 100 for the front desk to report it to the Director on Duty. Our staff will come down and address the matter immediately.

You spoke: Barbells in small pool area are broken and falling aprt, need new ones!
We listened: The aquatics director will review inventory and replace old and inadequate equipment.

You spoke: Adult men walking around in their Speedos should wear a towel around themselves.
We listened: Speedos are appropriate and acceptable swim attire for male swimmers. Because the men’s locker room does not have direct access to the pool, male swimmers must walk the common hallway to reach the pool area.

You spoke: My first Zumba class with Winnie was FANTASTIC!  Winnie makes you feel at home and has different levels so that all can enjoy her class. Looking forward to the next class!
We listened: Thank you! Zumba is currently so popular at our YMCA that we have added classes so that it is now offered every day of the week.
