Our Staff

The staff at YMCA Camp Oakasha are committed to inspire meaningful experiences through a variety of fun and safe activities such as, swimming, boating, arts & craft projects, archery, nature, ropes course, and more! All of our staff are hand selected based on their past experiences, attitudes, as well as their ability to accept and demonstrate the positive values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. These "Professional Role Models" are zany and energetic people who are dedicated to working with campers and inspire them to form friendships, try new adventures and create lasting memories.

Each member of our staff:

1. Is 18 years or older.
2. Is certified in CPR and First Aid.
3. Has experience working with children.
4. Goes through a week long Camp Oakasha staff training.
5. Exemplifies the character values of the YMCA in everything they do: Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, and Caring.
6. Knows the value of a smile.
7. Can roast the perfect marshmallow.
8. Can sing every camp song.
9. Can set up a tent in less than 10 minutes.
10. LOVES Camp Oakasha!!!
