About Camp Oakasha

Camp Oakasha is located at the Southbury Training School and is a full facility day camp. Children from ages 5-15 attend daily and participate in activities such as archery, swimming, arts & crafts, boating, field games, nature, hiking, family nights, overnights, and much, much more...

Camp Oakasha has been running for 6 years and now serves over 130 children a day from families from Southbury, Middlebury, Woodbury, Oxford, and other surrounding areas.

Our Philosophy: We strongly believe that every moment of a child's experience at camp should be safe, fun, and rewarding. The YMCA's mission is to develop healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. We strive to accomplish this through activities that are creative and exciting.

Camp Oakasha offers bussing to and from camp from designated bus stops. This service is offered with your registration fee. For those parents with an early or later work schedule, we also offer extended camp care for an extra fee. Campers are provided with games and activities before and after camp.

Camp Oakasha's hours are 7:00am - 5:30pm.
