Camper Schedule
A Day in the Life of a...
Mataucha Camper
9:00 - Arrive at Camp
Campers meet their Super counselor and group.
9:20 - Assembly
Word, thought, or joke of the day.
9:30 - Swim Lessons
Progressive swimming lessons and a chance to cool off.
10:30 - Coaching Period
Arts ∓ Crafts, Theatre, Boating, Canoeing, Archery, Field Games, Nature, Ropes (Adventure Course), or Climbing Tower. (Some activities have age restrictions)
11:30 - Unit Activity
All campers in a particular unit (ie, Mohawks or Pequots) gather to do a large group activity, such as tie-dying, scavenger hunts, etc.
12:30 - LUNCH
Campers eat nutritious meals prepared by at home by Mom or Dad.
1:00 - L.O.G.S.
Stands for "Lots Of Good Stuff." All Campers gather at out ampitheatre to sing camp songs and have some "good ol' fashioned fun."
1:30 - Free Activity
Each camper has an opportunity to do their favorite activities in the afternoon; such as Arts & Crafts or Boating.
2:30 - Final Assembly
Campers meet back with their groups for final attendance and board the buses to go home.
3:00 - Bus Departure
Buses leave filled with happy and tired Campers.
Campers can be dropped off as early as 7 AM and picked up as late as 5:30 PM at either YMCA Camp Mataucha or the Waterbury YMCA (location must be determined at the time of registration). Morning and afternoon snacks provided. There is an additional fee to attend, please refer to the registration form.
