YMCA Camp Mataucha and YMCA Camp Oakasha

The Greater Waterbury YMCA is proud to offer two day camps that are unmatched in customer service, the quality of programs, and most importantly caring and professional staff. Our staff inspire campers to learn and demonstrate positive values such as caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility through positive role modeling and recognizing important "teachable moments". Serving children ages 5 to 15 years of age, everyday is a safe new adventure specifically tailored towards the age of your camper. With activities such as archery, swimming, arts & crafts, boating, field games, nature, hiking, family nights, overnights and more, camp is sure to be a fun memorable experience.
United Way Campership Applications will be available from March 16th-April 30th at the YMCA and United Way office (60 North Main Street, Waterbury). For information regarding the Campership program contact the YMCA Development Office at (203) 754-YMCA(9622) ext 103. Proof of household income required with each application. YMCA financial assistance may be available to qualified families.

Camp Oakasha has been running for 10 years and now serves over 130 children a day from families of Southbury, Middlebury, Woodbury, Oxford, and other surrounding areas.
