Directions & Parking

Parking:

Parking for the YMCA is located off of Park Place between The Y and the Mattatuck Museum, just beyond the playground on the right hand side. Parking is free and the lot is attended by YMCA staff during Y business hours. There is also overflow parking located at the Prospect Street garage.

Directions to: The Waterbury YMCA

I-84: (From Danbury)

Take I-84 East to Exit 22 (Baldwin Street / Downtown Waterbury). Take a left at the end of the exit onto South Main Street. Keep straight through 3 lights. At the 4th light take a left. The YMCA is on the right hand side past the church.

I-84: (From Hartford)

Take I-84 West to Exit 22 (Union Street / Downtown Waterbury). Take a left at the end of the exit. At the 4th traffic light take a right onto South Main Street. Keep straight. At the 3rd light take a left. The YMCA is on the right hand side past the church.

Rt. 8: (From Torrington)

Take Route 8 South to I-84 East and follow the directions above.

Rt. 8: (From New Haven)

Take Route 8 North to I-84 East and follow directions above. Parking in rear of The YMCA on Park Place, second driveway on right.

Directions to: Camp Mataucha

Route 8 Northbound

Take exit 37 and turn left off the exit ramp to second traffic light turning right onto Buckingham Street. Continue straight through a caution light, traffic light and stop sign intersection onto Smith Pond Road to Camp entrance on right.

Main Street/Route 63 Northbound

Turn right onto Route 6 toward Thomaston. At traffic light by Westbury Room/Westbury Corner Store/Video Store, turn left onto Fern Hill Road. Continue straight through stop sign intersection onto Smith Pond Road to Camp entrance on right.

From Woodbury on Route 6

Continue to traffic light by Westbury Room/ Westbury Corner Store/Video Store, turn left onto Fern Hill Road. Continue straight through stop sign intersection onto Smith Pond Road to Camp entrance on right.

Directions to: Camp Oakasha

I-84: (From Danbury)

Take I-84 West to Exit 14 (South Britain). Take a left at the end of the exit onto Rte. 172. STS is 2.6 miles on left. Turn left at Thrift Shop into campus and bear left on Constitution Avenue winding up hill to camp (follow signage).

I-84: (From Hartford)

Take I-84 East to Exit 14 (South Britain). Take a right at the end of the exit onto Rte. 172. STS is 2.6 miles on left. Turn left at Thrift Shop into campus and bear left on Constitution Avenue winding up hill to camp (follow signage).
